Welcome to Annacati, a public transit application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (the “App”). Annacati is designed to help users navigate public transportation networks.
This Privacy Policy explains how we, as the developer and Data Controller, collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App. We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable national data protection legislation within the European Economic Area (EEA).
Please read this policy carefully. By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
The Data Controller responsible for the App is the developer of Annacati, based within the European Economic Area (EEA).

At this time, Annacati does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data from its users.
Specifically, the App currently does not:
• Require you to create an account or register
• Collect your name, email address, or any contact details
• Access or store your precise or approximate location
• Collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
• Use cookies, analytics tools, or crash-reporting services
• Transmit any data to our servers or any third parties
Because no personal data is collected, there is no processing activity requiring a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR at this time.
Annacati is a public transit app. In the future, we may request access to your device’s location in order to provide features such as nearby stops, real-time journey planning, or turn-by-turn navigation. Location data is considered personal data under the GDPR.
We will not access your location without:
• Providing clear, specific information about why it is needed
• Obtaining your explicit consent via your device’s permission system, where required
• Updating this Privacy Policy to reflect the new processing
You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. This will not affect your ability to use other features of the App that do not depend on location.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms may independently collect data when you download or interact with the App (such as purchase history or device information) in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for this data collection.
We encourage you to review:
• Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13, or under the age of 16 where required by applicable EU Member State law. Since we do not currently collect any personal data, no data relating to minors is processed.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@annacati.com and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update our data practices in the future — for example, by introducing optional user accounts, analytics, crash reporting, or personalised transit features. If and when we begin collecting personal data, we will:
• Update this Privacy Policy before any such collection begins
• Notify you through the App or the App Store listing
• Identify the legal basis for each category of processing (e.g. consent, legitimate interests, or contractual necessity under Article 6 GDPR)
• Obtain any consent required by applicable law, particularly for sensitive data categories such as precise location
We recommend checking this page periodically. The “Effective date” at the top of this policy will be updated whenever changes are made.
As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the following rights. These apply in full when and if we begin processing your personal data:
• Right of access (Art. 15) — to obtain confirmation of whether your data is processed and a copy of it
• Right to rectification (Art. 16) — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
• Right to erasure (Art. 17) — to request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18) — to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
• Right to data portability (Art. 20) — to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
• Right to object (Art. 21) — to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
• Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@annacati.com. We will respond within one calendar month, as required by Article 12 GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
We do not currently collect or retain any personal data. Should this change, we will apply the principle of storage limitation (Article 5(1)(e) GDPR) and retain data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Specific retention periods will be set out in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
We do not currently transfer any personal data outside of the EEA. If we do so in the future, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or transfers to countries covered by an adequacy decision.
Although we do not currently collect personal data, we are committed to maintaining appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect any data that may be processed in the future, in accordance with Article 32 GDPR. This includes measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Where changes are material — particularly if we begin collecting personal data for the first time — we will provide prominent notice through the App or its App Store listing.
Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
